Operations Supervisor - Manufacturing (Aerospace/Defense), City of Industry
The Operations Supervisor is a frontline manufacturing leader responsible for executing day-to-day shop floor operations. This role serves as the critical link between hourly production teams and plant leadership, ensuring alignment on safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, and production targets
- Ensure on-time execution of production schedules and output goals
Team Management
- Supervise, coach, and develop production employees
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Drive accountability and maintain a high-performance team environment
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
- Promote a strong safety culture and model safe behaviors on the floor
Continuous Improvement
- Apply Lean manufacturing and problem-solving tools to improve processes
- Identify and execute process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce waste
Performance Management
- Track and analyze KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, productivity)
- Implement corrective actions and drive continuous performance improvement
Workflow Coordination
- Oversee production flow, labor allocation, and shift execution
- Ensure materials, resources, and processes are aligned to meet demand
Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methodologies
- KPI-driven production environments
- Safety and quality systems
- Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills
Compensation
- Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 (annual)
