The Operation Supervisor position will provide supervisory oversight of the Savage-El Dorado facility; however, there could be occasions when support in varying capacities throughout the company. Occasionally, the Operation Supervisor will need to contribute in ways that may include the support of existing or new Savage operations. These contributions will require interaction with people from all parts the company including members of the executive management team. Additionally, there will be periodic regional meetings that will require attendance, as well as periodic company and safety meetings. Travel may be required for any or all of these activities.

Location: El Dorado, KS

Days/Hours: Mon-Fri 9 to 10 hours daily

Equipment Used: Heavy Industrial Equipment

Material Handled: Petroleum Coke

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist in achieving zero occurrences.
  • Provide leadership of the Savage culture and systems.
  • Reside within a reasonable driving distance 50 miles of Savage-El Dorado facility.
  • Provide oversight of the onsite teams.
  • Provide planning and scheduling of equipment and facility maintenance activities.
  • Record maintenance and operational activities using Manager +.
  • Manage spare/critical parts inventory.
  • Order chemical additives as needed to maintain inventory and provide continuous operation
  • Provide direct customer service.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting.
  • Assist in hiring, training and team building.

Requirements

  • Prefer experience working in maintenance and/or Operational field.
  • Supporting Objectives:
  • Purchase of parts and materials.
  • Support additional operations outside of El Dorado facility on limited occasions.
  • Understand and commit to the Savage Safety Stewardship and/or Lead Safety Specialist program(s).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient computer aptitude.

  • Understands and commits to the growth and development of co-workers.
  • Capable of delegating and/or involving others where appropriate.

  • Willing to follow all generally-accepted safety and health practices, such as Personnel Protective Equipment.
