Operations Supervisor

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Knoxville, TN .


Our Operations Supervisor will work directly with the Operations Manager to formulate both short-term and long-term goals and action plans for the hauling company. We seek individuals with a leadership mentality and desire to grow with promotional opportunities in this role.

Schedule: 5:30am start time averaging approximately 10-11 hours/day.


Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:


+ Assign and supervise work crews operating solid waste collection equipment.

+ Monitor progress of daily operations, reassign employees, and make staffing changes as necessary.

+ Helps develop, track, and execute safety goals.

+ Conducts field inspections and audits of all site personnel to ensure proper work procedures.

+ Receives and reviews customer complaints regarding collection programs.

+ Oversees a variety of complex compliance programs including environmental, OSHA, and local permitting.


Requirements:


+ Willing and able to obtain Class A or B CDL.

+ Must be able to relocate for promotional opportunities based on performance.

+ Ability to work in all weather conditions.

+ Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly.
