JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for safe, reliable and efficient 24 -hour operation of Greenfire
site facilities, including steam generation and production. This role combines front -line operations
leadership with control room/panel oversight and capability to improve shift execution, operational
discipline, training, competency development, and daily asset readiness. The incumbent shall carry out all
duties in accordance with the Safety Codes Act and in compliance with company safety policies and
procedures.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the OPERATIONS MANAGER
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide safe and effective 24-hour operational leadership for assigned operations crews/assets,
including field and control room activities.
- Lead daily asset execution, including scope readiness, shift priorities, operational follow -up,
planning/scheduling support, document reviews and team scheduling activities.
- Ensure all Greenfire Resources safety requirements are met or exceeded and that all operators
are performing assigned duties in accordance with established roles, responsibilities and
procedures.
- Monitor the overall facility process for proper operation, including temperatures, pressures,
flows, tank levels, steam generation and production performance.
- Maintain a logbook of overall facility activities and ensure operators on shift maintain
appropriate logbook records of pertinent facility and process changes and activities.
- Troubleshoot and rectify facility abnormalities and deficiencies and provide continuous
analysis of facility and process performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide continuous training, coaching and guidance to operators, including control room
operators and developing panel operators.
- Assess and sign off operator competency where appropriate, support progression planning, and
address performance gaps when expectations are not being met.
- Support the development, review and maintenance of safe operating procedures, training
materials and operational documentation.
- Coordinate and initiate maintenance work as required, including verifying equipment isolation
and signing off prior to the commencement of maintenance activities.
- Support maintenance planning and nightshift resource utilization to improve productivity and
daily execution readiness.

- Assist in planning and executing turnaround activities, non -routine operational activities and
larger projects, including taking lead roles as required.
- Conduct and participate in safety meetings and ensure incidents are documented and reported
to the site HS&E officer and outside agencies as required.
- Provide additional shift coverage as required to support vacations, absences, vacancies and
operational needs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET:
- Valid 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate preferred / required based on site assignment;
SAGD or in-situ experience required.
- 10-15 years of operating experience in heavy industry, such as petrochemical, in-situ, pulp and
paper, or power.
- Minimum 5 years of front-line supervision or demonstrated shift leadership experience.
- Proven control room experience in an operational capacity using a Distributed Control System;
Emerson DeltaV experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of plant processes, control room operations, steam generation,
production operations and safe operating practices.
- Proven troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operating
environment.
- Strong communication, organizational and computer skills, with the ability to manage daily
execution requirements while supporting shift operations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, assess competency and develop operators and control
room personnel.
- Ability to build constructive working relationships, foster collaboration and support a one -
team operating culture across shifts and site functions.
