Overview:
Primary Purpose:
Supervise pipeline personnel in the operation and maintenance of the Wink Station and associated Crude Oil pipelines. This includes KM Wink PL from Wink Texas to Guadalupe Peak including associated pump stations and truck Lact deliveries, the McCamey 10” crude oil PL, and a portion of the Snyder to Wink 10” crude oil PL.

- Ensure that facilities are maintained and operated according to DOT part 195.
- Ensure that all equipment inspections are up to date and properly documented
- Take a leadership role in the planning and execution of emergency response drills.
- Participate in Regulatory agency audits.
- Develop budget requests for maintenance and improvement projects
- Ensure that operation and budget targets are met Respond to any asset failure and facilitate repair, investigate causes and decide if improvements are needed.
- Ensure that one call reports are properly handled using the Kinder Morgan One Call system.
- Responsible for analyzing the safety hazards involved in all tasks performed by direct reports.
- Must play an active role in the KMCO2 Environmental, Health & Safety programs and ensure adherence to all safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Two year technical or management degree or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of two years' experience in the operations and/or maintenance of PHMSA regulated pipelines.
- 5-10 years relevant industry experience
- Must be knowledgeable in DOT part 195 and have experience maintaining pipelines in conformance with regulations.
- A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and current, valid State driver’s license are required.
- Must have experience at participating in pipeline audits performed by regulatory inspectors.
Preferred experience, skills and knowledge:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
- Supervisory experience is preferred
Supervisory Responsibility
- Will be responsible for the supervision of multiple pipeline operations employees who report to work at different locations
