Our firm is partnering with a global leader in logistics and supply chain services to hire an Operations Support professional. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in operations, logistics, or supply chain within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. With structured training, supervision, and mentorship, you will support the end-to-end execution of order processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a positive customer experience.
This position involves routine, standardized work guided by established procedures and policies, with an emphasis on attention to detail, responsiveness, and collaboration across internal teams and external partners. Job Description
The Operations Support role focuses on ensuring seamless execution of customer orders from initial placement through final payment. You will support daily operational activities by monitoring automated processes, addressing exceptions, and helping remove operational roadblocks. Success in this role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication.
Key responsibilities include supporting order planning, exception management, inventory activities, payment resolution, and participation in process improvement initiatives aimed at driving operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
  • Leverage technology and standardized processes to identify issues and collaborate with team members to resolve operational roadblocks
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support informational, product, pricing, and transportation needs
  • Support the planning and management of order activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately within operating systems
  • Assist with coordination of order-related activities, including shipment tracking, exception management, inventory reconciliation, forecasting, replenishment, invoicing, and claims or credit reconciliation
  • Support resolution of exception orders by collaborating with customers, transportation providers, distribution partners, and suppliers
  • Help maintain accurate item-level data in internal systems, such as pricing, pack sizes, and product descriptions
  • Communicate with vendors to support continuity of product supply
  • Identify and assist in mitigating service disruptions (e.g., late deliveries) to minimize customer impact
  • Deliver high levels of customer service through proactive, professional communication and timely responses
  • Share operational updates and status with the team
  • Support achievement of operational and tactical KPI targets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on team or regional requirements
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Process-oriented mindset with an interest in continuous improvement
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to support issue resolution in a timely and professional manner
