JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is based in Midland, TX. Candidates currently living in or willing to relocate to the Midland area are strongly preferred.


We are hiring an Operations Support Specialist to be a versatile, hands-on extension of our operations team across the Permian Basin and South Texas. This is not a desk job, and it is not a single-task job. You will be in the field supporting rig relocations, helping our fleets stay productive, and making sure equipment gets where it needs to be — on time, accounted for, and ready to work.


This role is built for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes ownership without being asked twice, and isn't afraid to drive between regions when the work demands it.


The field doesn't run on a 9-to-5 schedule, and neither does this role. There will be stretches where you are gone from home multiple days in a row — sometimes most of the week. We are honest about that up front because we want the right person who can roll with it.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


  • Support rig relocations from start to finish — coordinate, stage, and assist with the safe movement of equipment to and from location
  • Provide hands-on fleet support across rental and field equipment (telehandlers, air compressors, generators, heaters, diesel pumps, and more)
  • Make sure equipment arrives on location ready to run, and gets back clean, accounted for, and in good condition
  • Complete and submit field tickets accurately and on time — every job, every day
  • Ask for added support when a job needs more hands, more equipment, or more time — we would rather hear about it early than late
  • Identify and recommend new systems, processes, or tools that will make the field run smoother and safer
  • Travel between Permian Basin and South Texas operations as needed
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, crews, vendors, and customers
  • Follow all 4C and client safety protocols on every site, every time
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • Mechanical inclination — you understand how equipment works and can troubleshoot on the fly
  • Prior oilfield experience — you know how a rig operates and what a field ticket looks like
  • Self-starter mindset — you see what needs doing and you do it without waiting to be told
  • Strong communicator — comfortable on the on the phone, and in writing, and email communications
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Midland, TX
  • Willingness to travel to South Texas, sometimes on short notice
  • Comfortable being away from home multiple days at a time when the work calls for it
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable — your word is your bond
  • Physically capable of working outdoors in Texas field conditions
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED


  • Military / veteran background — highly valued, we appreciate your discipline and work ethic
  • CDL or experience hauling equipment
  • Experience with rental fleet equipment, rig relocations, or pump-down operations
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
