Job Summary
The Inventory Lead supports the Supervisor in driving continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory operations within the Millstone Distribution Center. This role provides leadership and guidance to the inventory team while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all inventory processes.
The Inventory Lead coordinates and oversees cycle count activities, monitors and maintains finished goods inventory levels, and ensures the organization and upkeep of product storage bins. This position also provides accurate inventory reporting and operational support to the Supervisor to promote inventory accuracy and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assign work depending on priorities set by the Operations Supervisor in the Kit Build Department.
- The Lead will train team members,
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and support process improvements to enhance productivity and compliance.
- Ensure that operators are following required duties and tasks as prescribed by Millstone SCP’s and DWI’s.
- Assist in operational and quality issues that operators encounter during kit inspection and shipping operations.
- Recommend and implement changes to DWI.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives.
- Support and assist in the training of new operators.
- The position includes visual inspection of medical devices and instruments which requires the ability to detect defects. 20/20 or corrected 20/20 vision is required.
Requirements
- Requires one to two years of prior experience
- Possess basic arithmetic skills
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to communicate with customers
- Ability to train other employees
- Attention to detail
- Mid-level – familiar with Microsoft Office, ERP, and other common programs
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Advanced inventory control (FIFO)
- Advanced blueprint interpretation skills
