As an Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E) Operations Technician, you'll be called upon to support pipeline operations, safely maintain facility equipment and maintain and analyze data to solve technical and operational problems. Safety is - of course - a top priority.

For Operations Technician III:
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/monitoring equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements
Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
Acquires knowledge of and complies with requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
Handles facility encroachment activities which include pipe location, excavation and inspection
Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with prevention of corrosion requiring knowledge of power line distribution systems and electrical safety codes
Troubleshoots, operates, repairs and maintains all mechanical and electrical systems including both low and high voltage equipment
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum of three (3) years' experience as an I&E Operations Technician or similar role
Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be able to:
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
Minimum three (3) years of experience with Honeywell DCS and/or Allen Bradley PLCs
Possess a journeyman or electrical license
