About the Role

The Operations Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that support operational excellence across Liberty Dental Plan. This role serves as a key resource for onboarding, ongoing staff development, process improvement initiatives, and corrective action training.

The ideal candidate combines strong facilitation skills with healthcare operations knowledge and a passion for helping employees build confidence and expertise in their work.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning training programs.
• Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for employees across operational functions.
• Partner with department leaders, Quality Management, Learning & Development, and operational teams to identify training needs and implement effective learning solutions.
• Develop training materials, job aids, presentations, assessments, and learning resources.
• Create and maintain professional development and operational training curricula.
• Assess employee readiness and administer knowledge checks to measure learning effectiveness.
• Analyze training outcomes and recommend improvements to increase employee performance and knowledge retention.
• Support training initiatives related to audit findings, corrective action plans, quality improvement efforts, and operational process enhancements.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content remains accurate, current, and compliant.
• Monitor training completion and provide reporting to leadership as needed.
• Deliver individualized coaching and reinforcement training when performance opportunities are identified.
• Become a subject matter expert in operational systems and processes, including the HSP platform, to effectively train and support employees.
• Train employees on standard operating procedures, case processing workflows, system functionality, and departmental best practices.
• Support training efforts across Utilization Management (UM), Claims, Contact Center, and other operational business areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in adult learning, curriculum development, training delivery, organizational development, leadership, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, dental, managed care, or related healthcare operations.
• Previous Utilization Management (UM) experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting operational training in a regulated healthcare environment preferred.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging learning programs for diverse audiences.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience developing objective assessments and measuring training effectiveness.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Learning Management System (LMS) experience preferred.
• HSP system knowledge preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching in a professional manner.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 a year, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.

Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
