Job Overview
Leads the development and deployment of training, workforce capability, and standardized work systems that improve employee effectiveness, operational performance, and Lean maturity across the plant. Supports the transition from department-specific training practices to a standardized, sustainable training framework.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain training programs for hourly and salaried employees.
Coordinate onboarding, qualification, certification, and cross-training activities.
Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, HR, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify training needs and capability gaps.
Create and maintain training materials, work instructions, and learning content.
Facilitate classroom, hands-on, and digital training programs.
Manage training records and ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Support implementation and sustainment of standardized work practices.
Track employee qualifications, certifications, and skills matrices.
Measure training effectiveness and workforce capability through metrics and reporting.
Support Lean, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and workforce development initiatives.
Assist with succession planning, knowledge transfer, and workforce flexibility efforts.
Support implementation of digital tools used for training, qualification tracking, and capability management.
What your background should look like:
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 5 years' experience in talent management, training, or organizational development, in an operations or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of talent assessment methodologies, performance management, and employee development practices
Familiarity of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D requirements; lead auditor certification preferred
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
