ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations & Workforce Training Analyst plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and workforce effectiveness within a union electrical construction environment. This position blends operational analysis, communication improvement, and instructional design to enhance field execution and leadership capability.
Working closely with supervisors, union electricians, and business leaders, this role identifies process and communication gaps, develops data-driven insights, and designs and delivers practical, high-impact training programs. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of field operations, adult learning principles, and continuous improvement practices.

Essential Functions
Operational Analysis & Improvement
Analyze communication effectiveness across field teams, supervisors, and internal departments to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
Evaluate operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance improvement opportunities.
Conduct impact analyses to support operational changes, process improvements, and system enhancements.
Drive process improvement initiatives aligned with business goals and field execution needs.
Partner with operations leadership to improve workflows, communication practices, and overall efficiency.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance organizational capability and performance.
Training & Workforce Development
Assist in the design and development of learning content across multiple delivery formats, including CBT, ILT, VILT, hybrid, and in-person training.
Develop and deliver training programs focused on communication, job processes, leadership skills, safety, and operational best practices.
Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define learning objectives and translate complex field and technical concepts into engaging, accessible training.
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for field employees, supervisors, and leadership.
Facilitate leadership training programs for Foremen and General Foremen, focusing on communication, crew leadership, and effective jobsite execution.
Conduct training needs assessments and recommend targeted learning solutions aligned to operational priorities.
Instructional Design & Content Development
Design and develop high-quality instructional materials using adult learning principles and multiple modalities.
Create training resources using tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, and multimedia platforms (video, audio, etc.).
Ensure training materials are engaging, interactive, and accessible to diverse learning styles, including hands-on field environments.
Maintain consistency and quality through standardized training practices across the organization.
Learning Systems & Evaluation
Evaluate training effectiveness using learner feedback, utilization metrics, and business performance data.
Apply insights from data and feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
Collaboration & Compliance
Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership to align training and process improvement initiatives with business goals.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance and perform duties at designated office or field locations.
Ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and industry standards.
Travel up to 10% as needed to support field training and operational initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a training-related or similar role required
Preferred:
Strong understanding of field operations within the electrical construction or similar industry environment.
Experience with LMS platforms, including administration and reporting.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.) and/or other content development tools.
Experience using tools such as Articulate or similar eLearning platforms preferred.
Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, curriculum management, reporting, and user support.
Preferred Education
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage union electricians, supervisors, and leadership.
Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
Ability to influence without authority and build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to translate complex technical or operational content into practical, easy-to-understand training.
Training & Instructional Design
Experience in instructional design, adult learning theory, and multi-modal content development.
Experience delivering training in field environments, including hands-on and in-person instruction.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills with diverse audiences.
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation & Benefits
Salary $85,000-$105,000 / year
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
