Operator 1, Forklift

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center.

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Experience:

• 1 year of relevant experience, required.
• Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS, preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
• Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.
• Safely operate high-reach or counterbalance forklifts.
• Move, load, unload, and transport products and materials within the warehouse or distribution center.
• Locate and place pallets in designated storage or staging areas.
• Perform material handling activities using forklifts and other MHE (Material Handling Equipment).
• Use RF scanners to support inventory and material movement transactions.
• Read and follow distribution documents, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Ensure accurate movement and placement of products.
• Support shipping, receiving, staging, and inventory operations as needed.
• Perform basic inspections of equipment and report safety or operational issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow company safety policies and quality requirements.
• Safely handle materials, including lifting heavier items when required.
