Pay Rate is $18.00 an hour
Work schedule hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
First shift.
10 panel drug screening required.
High School diploma or GED is not required for this job assignment.
Candidates must have previous Forklift driving experience.
Candidates who have previous work experience in a manufacturing work environment will have first preference.
The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs.
Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center. Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities) Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment) Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker. Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site. Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks. Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes). Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas. Provide backup support when required. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, preferred. 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED. Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required. Experience with Manhattan WMS, preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment. Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English. Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner. Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills. General distribution knowledge. Basic computer skills. Strong initiative and drive for results. Work Environment: (if applicable) The noise level is moderate to loud. There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations. Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles. This role may require a mandatory medical evaluation in compliance with BD s obligations under applicable occupational health and safety laws.
