Position and Responsibilities

  • Working within the Operations department will be responsible for a variety of duties associated with operating the processing plant, satellite plant, and associated wellfields. Duties include but not limited to:
  • Monitoring and recording of flow rates, pressures, and tank levels.
  • Inspection of tanks, pumps, pipelines, and water wells.
  • Manual manipulation of process controls via working in the field.
  • Automated manipulation of process controls via computer interface.
  • Working with chemicals, collecting samples, and chemical analysis.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of equipment in the production of yellowcake and restoration of ground water.
  • Climbing stairs, ladders, and utilizing fall off protection.
  • Evaluation of work area for safety, radiologic, and environmental conditions.
  • Capable of working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety, and environment.
  • This position will have a direct impact on mine production and restoration.
  • This position involves shift work, rotating between days and nights every two weeks.

Education and Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Basic maintenance / construction skills are required
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

North Butte is located approximately 30 miles from Wright WY or 50 miles from Gillette. Facilities are available for employees to remain on site during their weekly shifts.

The position is 4 days on/4 days off, 12 hour shifts.
