    We are looking for talented, creative, enthusiastic and motivated people who genuinely care about what they do. The 1st Shift Zund Operator position is full time, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm position. This employee should also have a flexible schedule to be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
     
    Although this position mainly requires operating the Zund, don’t let that scare you, we can teach you the trade in no time, attitude and aptitude are everything in this role! We can show you how a Zund operates and how to maintain them to stay in tip top shape. If you have any other skills, passions or abilities they will absolutely be utilized, and we encourage you to share them with us. 
     
    What you will be responsible for:
    • Operate a software driven materials cut table while following all safety standards.
    • Understand the operation of the Zund Cut table to maximize the cut performance of the machine.
    • Communicate interdepartmentally to ensure that proper job priority is followed, changes needed for jobs are made and daily productivity goals are met to satisfy flow requirements.
    • Review instructions to prepare job before cutting to ensure accuracy.
    • Maintain daily Zund Cut production logs as needed.
    • Perform quality checks and work with the entire team for all jobs to strive for 100% Quality of all orders.
    • Support and sustain 6S standards.
    • Maintain inventory of all necessary supplies.
    • Perform routine PMs and operator maintenance as required.
    • Provides technical support, data collection and assistance to improve the processes of all Fabrication operations.
    • Provide support for quality related projects.
    • Assist as needed with the development of new equipment and processes.
    • Participates in cross-training to be proficient in a variety of processes.
    What you need:
    • High School diploma.
    • Experience in finishing techniques such as weeding, laminating, heat pressing and application is desired.
    • Able to work under pressure, high volume and high quality work.
    • Pull, push or lift 50 pounds or more consistently.
    • Constantly moving around the production floor and standing up to 10 hours a day.
    • Twisting and bending to assemble products. 
    • Highly motivated to continuously improve.
    • Detail oriented and creative thinker.
    • Willingness to learn and take direction.
    • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to multi-task and reflect a positive attitude towards challenging job requirement.
    • Possess strong communications and that are healthy to our positive and productive work culture (Don’t take this as fluff…we are serious. Communication is a big deal here)
    • Punctual and dependable.
