Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.
Experience:
1+ year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
General computer skills.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent PREFERRED.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and products.
Perform material handling, picking, packing, staging, and distribution activities.
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and material-handling equipment as authorized.
Use RF scanners, barcode systems, and warehouse management systems to record material movements.
Maintain accurate inventory counts, transactions, and warehouse records.
Store and organize materials according to established procedures and safety requirements.
Prepare materials and finished products for shipment, production, or internal distribution.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
Follow SOPs, GMP requirements, safety procedures, and OSHA standards.
Inspect materials for damage, labeling, quantity, and documentation accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work area.
Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, equipment issues, and safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Support warehouse audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
Work effectively with manufacturing, quality, shipping/receiving, and other cross-functional teams.
Perform additional warehouse duties and rotate between tasks as business needs require.
