In this role youll join field crews to safely install and replace underground utilities on pipeline projects working directly under the Foreman and Superintendent. Wage 30-36 per hr. paid weekly Paid on-the-job technical and professional growth opportunities Established career path for future advancement 401k and Roth 401k retirement savings plans Health prescription dental vision plans Life & Disability Insurance plans Financial wellness program Employee assistance program Employee discount programsEssential duties Operation of heavy equipment including excavators track hoes backhoes front end loaders and skidsteers to excavate or move dirt rock and other materials Prepare and maintain equipment for safe daily operations Able to perform safe and clean trench excavation and backfill Able to set and pull shield shoring in accordance to OSHA safe practices Move and drive tractor trailers or truck and trailer combinations Uphold all Mears Safety Requirements and wear appropriate PPE as needed Comply with operating safety rules and regulations per OSHA safe practices Prepare documents reports or job aids related to work equipment and safety Loading and unloading of company vehicles Prepare pre-trip equipment prior to mobilizing to job site Assist in securing work site equipment at the end of each shift Perform miscellaneous duties as assignedKey Qualifications Valid driver license required CDL preferred DOT Medical Card if operating company equipment High school Diploma or equivalent The physical activity for this role includes Standing walking for extended periods Repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds Repeatedly kneeling crawling climbing and reaching Exposure to loud work environments Work outdoors in a range of conditions including hot and cold weather.
