Operator- Heavy Equipment

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused heavy equipment operator to support a variety of construction, site development, and material-handling activities. In this role, you will operate machinery efficiently and responsibly while helping ensure projects are completed on schedule, within quality standards, and in compliance with all safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, or other site equipment as assigned.
• Perform routine inspections before and after equipment use to ensure safe operation.
• Follow site plans, instructions, and safety procedures while completing assigned tasks.
• Load, move, level, excavate, or grade materials as needed for project requirements.
• Assist with general site work, material handling, and cleanup when required.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs or records related to equipment use, inspections, and work completed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other personnel on site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in construction, utilities, earthwork, or a related environment.
• Working knowledge of equipment safety practices and site procedures.
• Ability to read and follow directions, site plans, and operational instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform job-related tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required, depending on assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple types of heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with grade control, excavation, trenching, or material movement.
• Equipment certification or training related to heavy machinery operation.
• Experience working in fast-paced project environments.
