Title: Operator I - 2nd Shift
Location: 387 Technology Circle NW Suite 500, Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 Month Contract + Possible Extension
Shift: 2:30p to 11:00pm
pay: $20/h
Position Summary
Supervision: Works under close, direct supervision with continually reviewed outputs.
Core Function: Responsible for assembling, repairing, and testing high-quality medical devices (such as pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related assemblies) within a manufacturing cell following standardized procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Production Operations
Perform routine assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical devices according to specified procedures.
Safely handle and maneuver small components and intricate parts.
Prioritize work sequencing and timing based on precedence and importance.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate documentation, travelers, and records to ensure full part traceability.
Ensure cell operation job documentation is up to date and accurate.
Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Communication
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and profitability metrics.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors/Managers to set and monitor individual and cell performance goals.
Clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions (written and oral) across all levels of manufacturing management.
Maintain a positive attitude during interactions with internal teams and external visitors.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Understanding of electronic data collection systems and general computer software.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Ability to make sound judgments with minimal supervision where applicable.
Cleanroom & Production Dress Code Requirements
General Attire & Fabric Standards:
Must wear clean, non-shedding clothing free of loose threads, frayed hems, glitter, sequins, tassels, or fringes.
No sweaters, sweater vests, fleece, or loose-knit garments.
Torsos, upper arms, and legs must remain fully covered. Pants and skirts must extend below the ankle (skirts require full-length leggings/pants underneath).
All upper-body clothing must fit entirely under the gown/lab coat without extending past the neck or cuffs.
Headwear (including religious or custom head wraps) must be tightly woven, clean, and fully contained under the bouffant cap and lab coat.
Footwear:
Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes with socks/stockings are required at all times.
Heels must be flat or under 2 inches (no points, sandals, clogs, slippers, or woven designs).
Hygiene & Grooming:
No makeup, scented personal products (except deodorant), nail polish, acrylics, or artificial nails.
No jewelry or piercings that could puncture gloves or extend beyond gowning.
Lotions must not be applied after hand washing; lip balm must be applied prior to hand washing outside production areas.
Open wounds must be fully covered with a bandage.
