Job Summary This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, may perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Performs routine assignments according to specified and standardized procedures. Work is closely and continually reviewed.
Required Skills
Entry-level assembly aptitude (medical device experience is a plus)
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic quality awareness and inspection skills
Reliability and ability to work in a team-oriented production environment
Additional Information
Microscope use required for inspection and assembly tasks
No routine team lifting required (fast-paced movements may be required)
Approximately 40 50% sitting and 40 50% standing depending on workstation
Responsibilities
Perform assembly, repair, and testing of medical device assemblies.
Ensure job documentation is accurate and up to date.
Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions effectively.
Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices.
Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
Maintain accurate production and quality records to ensure traceability.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software.
Prioritize work based on sequencing and importance.
Handle and maneuver small components and parts.
Make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Dress Code
Clothing must be clean, non-shedding, and free of loose fibers, glitter, sequins, tassels, or frayed hems.
No sweaters, fleece, loose-knit garments, hats, scarves, or bandanas unless required for religious purposes and properly covered.
Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes are required. No sandals, slippers, or open footwear.
Legs, torso, and upper arms must be fully covered.
No nail polish, artificial nails, makeup, scented products, or jewelry/body piercings that cannot be covered.
Cover any open or bleeding wounds with a bandage.
Do not wear anything that could be offensive.
