Pay Rate: $17.25 - $19.25/hour | Paid Weekly
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Work Model: Fully Onsite

Ready to build products that make a real difference? BEPC is seeking a dedicated Medical Device Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Plymouth, Minnesota. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clean, high-tech manufacturing environment where you'll help produce life-saving medical devices used by patients around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, repair, inspect, and test precision medical devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related components.
  • Follow standardized manufacturing procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Perform detailed assembly using small components while maintaining accuracy and precision.
  • Complete production, traveler, and quality documentation to ensure product traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software to document manufacturing activities.
  • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to identify quality concerns.
  • Communicate production issues, ideas, and improvement opportunities with supervisors and team members.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant manufacturing workspace.
  • Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend at a minimum 7th-grade reading and comprehension level.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic production systems.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and maneuver small components with precision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to comply with cleanroom gowning and manufacturing dress code requirements.
  • Ability to work the assigned Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM schedule.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience.
  • Medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with quality inspections and production documentation.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom or highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment requiring strict adherence to quality, safety, and contamination-control standards. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive precision assembly tasks, handling small components, maintaining accurate production documentation, and following cleanroom gowning requirements.

Production attire must meet cleanroom standards, including non-shedding clothing, closed-toe shoes, and compliance with restrictions regarding jewelry, cosmetics, fragrances, artificial nails, and loose-fitting garments.
