Job Title: Medical Device Operator

Location: New Brighton / Saint Paul, MN 55112
Employment Type: W2 Contract | 6 Months with Likely Extension Based on Performance
Pay Rate:$16.75 - $18.75/hour | Paid Weekly
Work Model: 100% Onsite
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Schedule: 4-Day Workweek | Four 10-Hour Shifts
Overtime: As Needed
Openings: 5 Positions


Role Overview

BEPC is hiring Medical Device Operators to join our client's medical device manufacturing team in New Brighton, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hands-on medical device assembly and cleanroom experience who want to work a consistent first-shift schedule with a three-day weekend.


In this role, you will help build medical devices through precision assembly, inspection, testing, packaging, and related production activities. Team members will receive cross-training across multiple manufacturing areas, providing an opportunity to expand their skills and gain broader experience within a regulated medical device environment.


The ideal candidate has previous medical device manufacturing experience, is comfortable performing detailed assembly work, and takes pride in producing products where quality, accuracy, and consistency matter.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical device products according to approved procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform hands-on assembly using electrical torque drivers, screwdrivers, and other production tools.
  • Inspect assembled products for quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
  • Perform product testing according to established manufacturing procedures.
  • Use microscopes periodically for detailed manufacturing or inspection activities.
  • Complete packaging and boxing of finished products as required.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production instructions, and established quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing and production documentation.
  • Follow applicable FDA and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
  • Properly gown before entering designated manufacturing areas.
  • Wear required PPE, including hair nets, beard nets when applicable, shoe covers, and safety glasses.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Participate in cross-training across multiple manufacturing functions.
  • Communicate quality, equipment, or production concerns to the appropriate team members.
  • Support production goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality and patient safety.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of cleanroom experience within the medical device industry.
  • Previous hands-on medical device assembly experience required.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal manufacturing instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated production environment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and powered tools, including electrical torque drivers and screwdrivers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work the full Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Willingness to comply with all gowning, PPE, safety, and manufacturing requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous soldering experience.
  • Previous microscope experience.
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated manufacturing requirements.
  • Understanding of GMP and SOP requirements.
  • Experience with medical device inspection, testing, packaging, or boxing.
  • Experience working across multiple production or assembly stations.


Work Environment

This position is performed 100% onsite in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. Employees will perform hands-on assembly, inspection, testing, and packaging activities and may periodically use microscopes for detailed work.

Candidates must be comfortable following required gowning procedures and wearing PPE, which may include hair nets, beard nets, shoe covers, and safety glasses.

The role offers a four-day workweek, with regular hours Monday through Thursday and overtime as business needs require.


Interview Process
