Job Summary
Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
• Safe and effective operation and minor adjustments of all packaging equipment. • Proper handling, packaging, labeling, coding and marking of product. • Accurate and timely sampling of materials and communication to lab. • Accurate and timely documentation of your production day. • Safe, healthy and clean work environment. • Report all accidents or near misses to Lead/Supervisor. • Willing to support other production lines and assist Spray Operators. • Regular on time attendance. • Proper and timely communication of equipment performance to Operators/Leads. • Effective evaluation of the quality of all packaging raw materials consumed in the operation. • Report any defects you encounter to Lead/Supervisor. • All product change overs are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• High school diploma or GED equivalent • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Ability to work independently and with a group in accordance with the company safety & sanitation standards. • Basic computer skills: Access, Outlook and SharePoint. • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. • Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day. • Moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders)
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position operates in a production/plant environment 95% of the time. This position requires lifting up to 55 lbs. (25 kg). Incumbent must be willing to work in hot and/or cold environments. Incumbent must also be willing to work in a dusty environment and be willing/able to wear half or full-face respirators.
