DUTIES DESCRIPTION:

  • Employee will be involved in the day-to-day operation of two polyurethane foam lines. Set up machinery in preparation of production runs.
  • Start up and shut down the machine properly. Monitor production variables and ensure the variables fall within an acceptable range.
  • Monitor foam for any defects and react accordingly. Perform start-up and shut down procedures required inside the foam line tunnel.
  • Measure and record foam dimensions on cut-off sheet. Generate accurate labels for all buns. Operate a forklift to move scrap foam safely within the plant. Maintain TDI gas monitor at head of round block and flat block lines. Cross training on other equipment will be required in this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to read, write and follow detailed work instructions, read tape measure, basic language & mathematical skills, reasoning ability to include the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw conclusions, enter data into computer.
  • Must be safety & quality focused with an acceptable work history.
  • Machine operation experience necessary.
  • Experience in a chemical related manufacturing environment preferred.
