Operator I

Location: Minnetonka, MN
Schedule: Monday Friday, approximately 4:45 AM 3:30 PM
Pay: $18.75/hr

Job Summary

Abbott is hiring Operator I candidates to perform routine and repetitive assembly and manufacturing operations under direct supervision. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, medical device, assembly, or regulated production experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine assembly and production operations according to written procedures.

  • Follow safety guidelines and use required safety equipment.

  • Read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Handle and maneuver small components and parts.

  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and traceability records.

  • Use electronic data collection systems and basic computer software.

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on applicable equipment.

  • Troubleshoot basic production issues and communicate problems and solutions.

  • Support quality, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Meet production and quality goals while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

  • Follow company policies, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and other regulatory requirements.

  • Work effectively as part of a self-managed manufacturing team.

Requirements
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures.

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data systems.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to make basic decisions with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with small components and parts.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • 6+ months of medical, manufacturing, assembly, or other regulated production experience preferred.

Important Notes
  • A 7th-grade reading and comprehension level is required.

  • Bachelor's degree candidates are considered overqualified for this Operator I position.

  • Medical device, manufacturing, or assembly experience is a plus.
