Ophthalmic Assistant / Technician

Kunesh Eye Center, Inc. is looking for a Full Time and/or Part Time Ophthalmic Assistant to work in our busy and fast-paced office. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude and be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the willingness to learn, maintain high patient satisfaction, and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistants (COAs) and Certified Ophthalmic Technicians (COTs) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of supervisor or physician receives and prepares patients for examination or treatment.
• Check visual acuity and eye pressure
• May perform routine or advanced technical ophthalmic tests
• Documents patient information in the patient medical record
• Willingness to cross train to perform routine or advanced technical ophthalmic procedures and tests
• Performs stocking, maintenance and other duties as assigned, including maintaining exam rooms, equipment and supplies
• Other duties as assigned
