Position Summary:
An Ophthalmic Imager II requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Clinical
- Support efficient and effective clinic flow of patients
- Assist with photography needs including biometry, ultrasound, fundus photos, FA, OCT, VF, and topography.
- Upload and verify all patient images are correctly attached to the EMR
- Add diagnostic imaging to the clinical chart note with corresponding documentation for billing and coding purposes.
- Resolve queries regarding imaging
- Report any issues or concerns regarding imaging equipment or process to clinical leadership
- Report to clinic leadership the need for additional inventory of medical or office supplies
- Complies with all practice procedures and protocols. Complies with all State and Federal regulations.
Administrative
- Report inventory and supply needs to leadership timely and as needed for supply ordering
- Participate in daily team huddles and regularly scheduled meetings as planned and/or required.
- Understand and accept responsibility to report potential or suspected errors to supervisor or Compliance manager
- Contribute to the team effort by completing additional tasks or projects as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude consisting of cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy, and professionalism
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience as an Ophthalmic Photographer or Imager preferred
- CRA / ROUB / OCT-C / CDOS certification eligible
- Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Ability to work independently with little oversight or manager presence
