University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics is currently accepting resumes for current and future opportunities in the areas of: Ophthalmic Medical Technician (OMT) & Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA); which are essentially Medical Assistants for Eye Care.
Moran Eye Care works out of various locations including: Moran Eye Center (SLC), Midvalley (Murray), Farmington, Parkway (Orem), Redstone (Park City), Redwood (SLC), South Jordan, Stansbury Park, Westridge (West Valley), and Moran location in Primary Childrens (Pediatric).

Start as an OMT if not already COA certified, then work with your team to train and become a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) within 6-12 months (self paced, varies by position).
This position performs preliminary examinations and evaluations of patients with ocular complaints, diseases, or disorders by initiating and executing technical tests utilized exclusively in ophthalmology. The incumbent provides information to and consults with ophthalmologists who facilitate the diagnosis and eventual treatment of patients.
This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law.
