    Job description:
    We are a high-volume specialty clinic that performs LASIK vision correction. As medical director and chief surgeon, Dr. Lori Travers is a Board-certified Ophthalmologist and Lasik Specialist who has helped thousands of Triangle residents to improve their eyesight. Our company is considered second to none for Lasik procedures throughout North Carolina.
    We are searching for a customer service-oriented individual to join our team. Our small, friendly staff work together to provide excellent patient care and outcomes. We are looking for someone that is positive, energetic, and that will fit well within our team.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    1. College degree (required) and/or COA/COT training (preferred)
    2. Medical office, optometrist and/or ophthalmology experience preferred (but willing to train)
    3. Customer service and customer relations experience (preferred)
    4. Compensation based on experience and skillset

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    1. Detail-oriented, high emotional intelligence, and good communication skills
    2. Ability to learn parameters of expanding job description.
    3. Has capacity for making quick, intelligent decisions, and initiating appropriate actions.
    4. Stable, mature, and dependable.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Working closely with patients to prepare them for surgery, including all testing necessary for the doctor to determine what procedure is best. This requires attention to detail and accuracy.
    2. Answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and assisting the front desk as needed.
    3. Laser room tech responsibilities: Working in surgery including preparing the patient, setting up the laser, and maintaining the laser as needed.
    4. Charts: Preparing surgery charts, organizing charts, filing charts, rotating charts annually, pulling charts and preparing for the next day.
    Ordering supplies, cleaning and stocking rooms and performing any duties necessary to assist the patient, doctors and other staff members.
