Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 per hour plus based on experience
Added pay: practice will pay mileage over 15 miles and paid time over 20 minutes

Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager
Essential Functions
- Performing patient work-ups, obtaining patient medical histories and performing specialized diagnostic testing.
- Professionally assist physicians with patient care, patient education and minor procedures.
- Must have reliable transportation for traveling to other local satellite offices. Reimbursement for gas and mileage will be provided.
- Must have neat and legible handwriting, excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to perform well in a fast paced high volume practice.
Education, Training, and Experience
- 1-2 years of medical office experience
- Ability to learn & adapt quickly to new software
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Good communication skills with patients, fellow employees, management, and physicians
- Initiative to manage a multitude of tasks throughout various phases of the MDI Coordinating and Materials Management cycle
- Basic Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic understanding of the eye anatomy, medical terminology, ocular pathology and eye diseases.
- Basic understanding of reading and interpreting all contents of paper and electronic charts.

Typical Physical Demands
Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
