    Ready for new challenges and responsibilities? Then we've got the job for you! Slingsby & Huot Eye Associates is looking to hire full-time ophthalmic technicians to join our team! We are a busy, established office seeking team-players who are organized, energetic, efficient and able to handle the pressures of a fast-paced environment. We require you to be eager to learn, friendly, highly motivated, and be a self-starter with motivation to give attention to detail on a daily basis. Above all else, you need to provide exceptional customer service to our patients. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and ophthalmic certifications (COA, COT, COMT). Surgical experience is a bonus! We will also on-the-job train the right applicants.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrates flexibility in job assignment
    • Demonstrates experience in a fast paced clinic environment
    • Must be willing to travel for day trips when needed to outreach locations with provider

    Job Duties

    • Efficiently and accurately interviews patients and documents histories; ensures charts are updated and accurate
    • Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease and ocular medications
    • Experience with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting
    • Proficiency with EMR and PM computer programs
    • Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned
