Job Description:

A full-time opportunity is available for an Ophthalmologist to serve as the primary provider within a rural hospital setting. Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and diseases
  • Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic care, including medical and surgical management
  • Perform procedures such as cataract surgery and other ophthalmic interventions
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Serve as the primary ophthalmology provider within the facility
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and support teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a community-focused setting
  • Contribute to the development and growth of ophthalmology services

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology
  • Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
  • DEA certification
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and community engagement
