A full-time opportunity is available for an Ophthalmologist to serve as the primary provider within a rural hospital setting. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and diseases
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic care, including medical and surgical management
- Perform procedures such as cataract surgery and other ophthalmic interventions
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Serve as the primary ophthalmology provider within the facility
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and support teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a community-focused setting
- Contribute to the development and growth of ophthalmology services
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
- DEA certification
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
- Commitment to patient-centered care and community engagement
