Ophthalmology - Ophthalmic Technician

Location: Beverly Hills, CA
Facility: Cedars-Sinai Medical Network (CSMN)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel Contract)

Seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to support a busy outpatient Vision Center by performing ophthalmic testing, assisting physicians, and delivering quality patient care.

• Prepare patients and exam rooms

• Obtain medical history and document in Epic EMR

• Perform visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, visual fields, OCT, Fundus Photography, corneal topography, and other diagnostic eye tests

• Administer dilating drops as ordered

• Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures

• Educate patients on ocular medications and post-procedure care

• Maintain ophthalmic equipment and supplies

• Minimum 2 years of Ophthalmic Technician experience

• Ophthalmic Technician Diploma from an accredited program

• High School Diploma/GED

• Current BLS (AHA/ARC)

• Epic EMR experience (Required)

• Optos imaging experience (Required)

• Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic testing, patient preparation, and documentation

• Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT)

• Experience with intravitreal injections and basic ophthalmic procedures
