Ophthalmology - Ophthalmic Technician

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Education: Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology from an accredited program
• First Time Travelers: Accepted
• Special Requirements: Experience with Optos and Epic systems required

Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Requires 1-2 Saturday shifts per month on rotation from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Floating Requirement: No
• On-Call Requirement: No
• License: Must have an active license at the time of submission
• Scheduling Requests: Cannot be accommodated

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and eye function tests such as:

• Clinical optics
• Ocular motility
• Visual fields
• Keratometry
• Topography
• A-Scans
• Schirmer test
