- Support for quality improvement, education, and scholarly work, with mentorship for academic development and support for conference presentations and publications.
- Leadership growth opportunities in imaging, fetal cardiology, quality/safety, and program development as volumes expand.
- Equitable call schedule shared across the team, with strong CICU and hospitalist support.
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret advanced pediatric cardiac imaging, including TTE, TEE, fetal echocardiograms, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI.
- Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary imaging case conferences, surgical planning meetings, and catheterization/EP conferences.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, outcomes benchmarking, and clinical research; contribute to registry submissions and data-driven practice refinement.
- Teach and mentor sonographers, residents, and medical students; assist with imaging protocols and lab accreditation standards.
- Participate in equitable call coverage and provide consultative support across inpatient and outpatient settings, including satellite sites via tele-imaging/teleconsult platforms where applicable.
Qualifications
- MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification in Pediatrics and certification/eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology.
- Formal fellowship training in Advanced Pediatric Cardiac Imaging.
- 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience preferred; early-career candidates with strong imaging portfolios are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated proficiency in TEE and fetal echocardiography preferred.
- Eligibility for Texas medical licensure; commitment to team-based, family-centered care.
Compensation and Benefits
