OPS Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a customer-focused individual who is passionate about helping students navigate the financial aid process and achieve their educational goals.

What You'll Do

As an OPS Administrative Assistant, the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors at the Student Financial Services front counter.
  • Assisting students with general questions regarding financial aid, scholarships, FAFSA completion, and account-related inquiries.
  • Providing exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and through email communications.
  • Directing students to the appropriate Financial Aid Advisor or campus department when necessary.
  • Assisting with document collection, scanning, indexing, and other administrative support functions.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of student records and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
  • Working approximately 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on departmental needs.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate who brings not only strong customer service skills but also a commitment to student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, student services, office administration, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to assist students.
