Job Description:

This position is located in the Department of Physical Therapy within the College of Public Health and Health Professions and serves the Brooks-UF PHHP Research Collaboration. The mission of this research collaboration is to advance high-quality rehabilitation research to improve clinical care and outcomes. Primary responsibilities include providing administrative support, assisting with marketing and communications initiatives, and coordinating event and activities for the Brooks-UF PHHP Research Collaboration. These responsibilities include: 

Administrative Assistance

  • Provide administrative support to the Brooks-UF PHHP Research Collaboration
  • Create meeting agendas and transcribe meeting minutes
  • Assist with additional administrative responsibilities as needed

Marketing & Communications (Digital/Web)

  • Update and maintain website design and content, implement requested changes, and maximize website optimization.
  • Develop engaging content, such as newsletters and multimedia assets for events
  • Design and update graphic materials for events, programs, and marketing initiatives

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate event logistics, including room reservations, calendar invitations, agendas, attendance tracking, and catering requests. Responsibilities may require occasional evening or weekend work and travel to Jacksonville, FL. 
  • Adhere to university and state fiscal policies and procedures (e.g., alcohol policies, facilities requirements, etc.)
Expected Salary:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in a relevant field or two years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of work and education.

  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve efficiently, and adapt in fast-paced environments

This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week). Hours may be flexible within the week but are expected to happen between normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.).  Responsibilities may require occasional evening or weekend work and travel to Jacksonville, FL.
