The position is a technical role that provides first‑level contact, problem resolution, and technical assistance on software, hardware, communications, network printers, and servers for the agency. The incumbent represents OTIS and is required to be helpful, cooperative, polite, respectful, and courteous at all times with employees, customers, and the public.Resolve user‑reported problems using available tools and procedures, support and respond to all service calls, communicate with customers throughout the resolution process, and, when appropriate, escal­ate problems following established procedures.Identify and meet the needs of customers and act as a customer service representative on behalf of the division.Perform other related tasks as requested.AttendanceAttendance is an essential function of this position.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of computer operations, hardware, procedures, and systems.Skill in using computer devices, printers, and scanners.Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.Ability to be flexible and adaptable when learning new technologies.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and in an open team, collaborative environment.Ability to provide excellent customer service.Skill in using Microsoft Office suite.Minimum QualificationsExperience in troubleshooting and providing technical support.Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.Special Trust RequirementThis position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422.
