OPS Research Assistant

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Florida is seeking an OPS Research Assistant to support ongoing clinical research initiatives. This position will work primarily with UF Health Orthopaedics Surgery and Sports Medicine in both clinic and hospital settings.

The OPS Research Assistant will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Clinical Research Coordinator to support all aspects of human subjects research, including participant recruitment, data collection, data management, and study protocol implementation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hospital-based research environment and interacting directly with human subjects. While prior orthopaedic knowledge is not required, it is strongly preferred.

This OPS position is scheduled Monday-Friday, primarily during standard business hours, with some flexibility required based on study needs.

Duties Include:

Expected beginning salary is $16/hour; commensurate with education and experience.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained 

Orthopaedic knowledge is not required but highly preferred. The individual should be comfortable with human subject research in a hospital setting.
