Organizational Summary:

The USF Psychology Department is home to approximately 3,000 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. Our department also includes 6 administrative staff, 6 academic advisors and over 50 core, affiliated, and emeritus faculty members. We are one of the largest departments in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Position Summary:

Responsible for management of the screening, enrollment, and retention of study participants, ensuring quality of data collected throughout the research study, assisting/training staff and implementing the procedures and activities as required by the clinical research protocols and principal investigators.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience. Higher education may substitute for the experience.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

  • Responsible for the organization of research activities, establishing timelines, learning and training others on new systems/software, tracking progress on research protocols. This may include regulatory document submission.
  • Manages and supervises the research staff. Recruits, evaluates, leads, coaches, mentors, and trains research assistants.
  • Develops site Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), evaluates and makes recommendations for process improvements within the department
  • Monitors research activity to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Good Clinical Practices.
  • Directs the Clinical Research operations in administrative, budgetary and fiscal matters, preparing analysis as required for immediate and long-range management planning.
  • Manage resources of the project to accomplish specified goals/objectives.
  • Responsible for communication with sponsors, vendors and patients. Acts as the representative for the research unit, on behalf of the Pl.
  • Coordinates special studies or projects as directed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
