Provide Detachment 6 and the United States Operational Test Team (UOTT) with full-time 4th Gen and 5th Gen Fighter Aircraft Sortie Generation and Mission Generation analysts with experience in deployment planning, flight test aircraft maintenance and logistics sortie generation methodology, operational test report planning, test execution, test process and procedures improvement, and test reporting. With focus on planning, executing and reporting on F-15, F-22 and F-35 test guidelines in the Suitability domain. The suitability domain is comprised of reliability, availability, compatibility, transportability, interoperability, wartime usage rates, maintainability, safety, human factors, manpower supportability, logistics supportability, documentation, environmental effects, and training requirements. Operational testing activities will take place using aircraft operators, aircraft maintenance and logistics personnel at the following locations: Nellis AFB, NV with daily interaction with the 57th Maintenance Group and the 53rd Test and Evaluation Group (primary location for USAF Operational Test (OT)), Edwards AFB, CA VX-9 Detachment (primary location for USN OT), VMX-1, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, AZ (primary location for USMC OT). The duty hours will change weekly to correlate with the OT activity flying schedule.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide Det 6 and UOTT Suitability personnel with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in developing and managing test plans, test execution, test reports and developing/processing supporting documentation.

Understand F-35 Maintenance and ALIS with an ability to track maintenance metrics throughout the test plan. 

Activity will include developing test plan and data analysis management plans, developing data analysis tools and methodologies, collecting, analyzing and managing test data, creating reporting products from applicable test data to achieve test objectives, and provide written test report inputs that augment the generated technical products.

Will also provide A&AS with developing and managing (including internal/external collaboration) a unified data analysis toolset shared across test programs and test sites.

Provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to Det 6 and UOTT with daily involvement in test execution activities to include developing and refining test operations and execution procedures.

Activities will include coordinating with internal and external organizations/agencies including other locations, liaising with other services, and travelling to test locations.

Roles within the Suitability team include daily observation and data collection of Low Observable maintenance accomplishment, daily observation and data collection on all aspects of Sortie Generation mission activities on assigned work shifts, daily observation and data collection of maintenance information system input/analysis for assigned test efforts and participation reliability and maintainability (R&M) Integrated Product Teams (IPT).

Active participation in monthly MDS product improvement meetings, MDS joint reliability and maintainability reviews and MDS health management system IPTs.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.  

High School diploma/GED and 13 years of experience.

Active Secret Clearance.

Candidates with a minimum of 7 years working in or with the U.S. Military in the sortie generation/flightline aircraft maintenance fields, Low Observable maintenance experience is necessary at the Yuma and Edwards AFB locations.

Previous fighter aircraft combat deployment experience and/or fighter aircraft operational test experience is highly desired.

Prior fighter aircraft test experience is desired.
