Optical Coating Technician
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Location: Twinsburg, OH
Shifts: 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift Available

Schedule:
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

We are hiring Optical Coating Technicians in Twinsburg, OH for a family-owned precision optics company. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who is looking for a hands-on manufacturing technician, production technician, or machine operation role in a clean, high-quality production environment.

As an Optical Coating Technician, you will help prepare, coat, inspect, and package precision optical components used in aerospace, defense, medical imaging, and other high-tech applications. Training is provided for candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and prepare optical lenses and components for coating
  • Operate coating equipment and assist with coating chamber maintenance
  • Perform sand blasting, foil changes, and basic equipment upkeep
  • Use inspection equipment such as spectrophotometers and abrasion testers
  • Inspect parts for quality, accuracy, and cleanliness
  • Package and prepare finished optical components for shipment
  • Follow detailed work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
  • Participate in training on coating equipment, inspection tools, and production processes

 
Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to stand for the full shift
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting and hands-on production tasks
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to learn
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, production, inspection, cleanroom, optics, coating, or quality control experience is helpful but not required
  • Machine maintenance experience is a plus
