Optical Shop Sales Associate

Position Summary

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Optical Shop Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers in selecting frames and eyewear products, provide excellent service, support daily optical shop operations, and help create a welcoming shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.

• Assist customers in selecting eyeglass frames, sunglasses, and other optical products based on their preferences, style, and needs.

• Explain product features, pricing, promotions, and available options.

• Help customers compare frame styles, lens options, and accessories.

• Enter and process customer orders accurately.

• Coordinate with opticians, doctors, laboratories, and vendors as needed.

• Follow up with customers regarding orders, pickups, and adjustments.

• Handle sales transactions, payments, returns, and exchanges.

• Assist with vision insurance information and verify benefits when applicable.

• Maintain accurate customer and order information.

• Keep displays, frames, shelves, and the sales area clean, organized, and well stocked.

• Maintain attractive and up-to-date frame displays.

• Meet or support sales and customer-service goals.

• Build positive relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.

• Stay informed about new frame styles, lens options, promotions, and optical products.

• Follow company policies and maintain patient/customer confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, sales, or customer-service experience preferred.

• Optical experience is a plus but not required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Friendly, professional, and positive attitude.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Comfortable working with customers and recommending products.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Basic computer and point-of-sale skills.

• Ability to learn optical terminology, products, and procedures.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
