Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with optical design and simulation tools such as Zemax, Code V, or equivalent
Strong understanding of optical instrumentation and imaging systems
Experience with optical performance analysis including MTF, aberrations, tolerancing, and image quality metrics
Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for simulation automation and data analysis
Experience working with cloud-based computational environments and scalable simulation workflows
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break complex problems into manageable tasks
Self-motivated, hands-on, independent, and dedicated
Excellent collaboration skills in a diverse and dynamic team environment

Key Responsibilities
Develop and validate optical and imaging system models using Zemax, Code V, or equivalent tools
Build and maintain software tools and workflows for optical simulation and analysis
Extend and improve cloud-based simulation pipelines and infrastructure
Develop automation and AI-assisted tools to streamline simulation workflows and data analysis
Support simulation validation, benchmarking, and performance analysis
Create technical documentation, SOPs, and onboarding materials
Contribute to all phases of the development cycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
We are looking for an Optical Simulation Engineer to develop and scale a cloud-based optical and image simulation platform supporting Virtual Station applications. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of consumer electronics for a leading US tech company, shaping devices sold globally in large volumes.
In this role, you will develop and validate optical and imaging system models, extend simulation workflows, and build automation tools that enable scalable and repeatable optical simulations. You will work closely with optical engineers and scientists to support modeling, analysis, and simulation activities across multiple business areas.
