OpticianEuola is seeking Opticians to provide onsite optical services for Veterans at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. The Optician will support the Eye Clinic by assisting patients with eyewear selection, fittings, measurements, adjustments, repairs, and prescription verification while ensuring exceptional patient care and compliance with VA standards.Address: 1 Medical Center Drive Clarksburg, WV 26301Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Veterans with frame selection and lifestyle-based eyewear recommendationsPerform optical measurements including pupillary distance (PD), segment heights, and base curvesVerify eyeglass prescription specifications provided by VA Optometry/Ophthalmology clinicsFit, adjust, and dispense eyeglassesPerform minor repairs including screw replacement, nose pad replacement, and frame adjustmentsDocument patient care accurately within CPRS/EHR systemsMaintain compliance with VA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CMS standardsProvide excellent customer service and maintain professional interactions with Veterans and VA staffEnsure optical equipment and tools are maintained in proper working conditionParticipate in required VA training and background clearance processesPrevious experience in a VA, hospital, or medical clinic environment (preferred) Required QualificationsAmerican Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification or state-licensed Must be technically proficient in optical dispensing and patient care servicesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English fluentlyExperience with eyeglass fittings, measurements, and repairsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare settingMust successfully complete VA background investigation and credentialing requirements prior to startMust complete all required HIPAA, privacy, and VA training
