Optician I – Midland, TX

We’re seeking an Optician I to join a patient-focused eye care practice in Midland, TX.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys working directly with patients and wants to build or expand their experience in the optical and healthcare field.

Optical experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate. We’re looking for someone who brings strong customer service skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients throughout their visit

• Answer phones and assist patients with questions

• Schedule and coordinate appointments

• Check patients in and out

• Assist patients with their optical needs

• Provide professional, patient-focused customer service

• Help patients understand their visit and next steps

• Complete front desk and administrative responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation

• Work collaboratively with physicians and practice staff

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Professional, friendly, and personable demeanor

• Strong attention to detail

• Effective time-management and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment

• Basic computer proficiency

• 1+ year of customer service or related experience preferred

• Optical or healthcare experience is a plus

• Willingness and ability to learn new processes and systems

Compensation

$14.50–$22/hour, based on experience
