About Us:

Hicks Brunson Eyewear is a four generation independent optical boutique in the heart of Tulsa, OK. We are looking for a full time optician who is passionate about fashion, and dedicated to growing with our team. Having a sharp attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop long term relationships with our clients is a must.

Optical experience preferred. If the candidate does not have optical experience, then a strong background in retail sales is required.

The Role:

Greeting clients with a warm, friendly smile and showing urgency to help. Our opticians our friendly and enthusiastic about sharing our passion for independent eyewear and helping our clients explore their eyewear style. The optician needs to be skilled at fitting eyewear that is appropriate for size, and that is a good match for the prescription being filled. Making lens recommendations and being able to explain the benefits of different lenses is essential.

Our opticians ensure complete client satisfaction throughout the buying experience by taking careful measurements making the eyewear right the first time, and by fitting the eyewear properly when dispensing.

Keeping up with new skills and developing as opticians through continuing education is an important part of our core values.

Being punctual, having a good attitude, good attendance, and demonstrating an awareness of current fashion trends are all qualities that we look for. Taking pride in the store appearance, and maintaining a clean store environment are important.

Other duties supporting successful operation of the store include store opening and closing items, cleaning, and assisting in inventory management.

What we offer full time team members:

Estimated total compensation including commission: $40,000–$60,000 including base pay and typical commission earnings. Actual compensation will vary based on hours worked, sales performance, and commission earned.
