The role involves supporting branch offices and collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance with SRO regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include:
Addressing inquiries related to SRO regulations and company policies.
Collaborating with departments such as P&S, Margin, New Accounts, and other administrative teams to resolve compliance issues.
Analyzing and assessing Option Account Information and Agreement Forms to ensure alignment with the firm's client suitability standards and investment goals.
Making decisions to approve, deny, or adjust options strategy levels as needed.
Developing and contributing to the implementation of new company policies and procedures concerning options trading.
Examining exception reports that highlight option trades not aligned with clients' suitability and investment goals.
Working in partnership with IT to develop new exception reports targeting potentially problematic options activity, such as excessive trading, concentrated positions, and significant option losses.
Alerting branch offices to potential issues and escalating them when necessary.
Collaborating with IT and the Margin Department to integrate hard options trading blocks into the Order Management System (OMS) to prevent trades exceeding clients' compliance-approved suitability levels.
Evaluating and authorizing advertising materials related to options trading.
Reviewing daily LOPR Exception Reports to identify any reporting deficiencies and working with Purchase and Sales and IT to resolve issues.
Participating in various projects on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Skills Required
Strong understanding of SRO regulations and firm policies.
Excellent analytical skills for evaluating client suitability and investment objectives.
Ability to create and implement policies and procedures effectively.
Proficient in working with IT systems and developing exception reports.
Strong collaboration skills, particularly with IT and Margin departments.
Experience in reviewing and approving marketing and advertising materials.
Attention to detail in monitoring and resolving reporting discrepancies.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
