Options Schools is currently looking to expand teaching positions at the Kokomo campus. The person in this role will be responsible for a student caseload of approximately 12 students.
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination for special education services including development of IEP's
- Accommodate the general education curriculum for students with disabilities based on upon a variety of instructional techniques and technologies
- Maintain accurate and compliant student records and prepare documentation as required by law
- Hold the case conference committee meetings to assist in developing measurable goals, benchmarks, and objectives to meet student's needs
- Regularly monitor the implementation of the student's IEP and provides progress reports to the student and/or family
- Develop compliant and comprehensive transition plans
- Ensure any needed accommodations and modifications on district, statewide, and national assessments are implemented according to the student's IEP

Requirements
- Hold an appropriate Indiana teacher license: Licensed in special education-mild and/or intense certification required
- Experience using Indianas Special Programs Platform
- Demonstrate knowledge of state standards
- Possess an ability to support and guide adults as well as students
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess organization and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Internet use
- An ability to learn new technology tools
